Table Tennis

Staff member in charge: Mr Nigel Hatton

Facilities: Three tables are set up in the Lizard Lounge for each activity.

Number of teams: Competitions are played in 4 groups: U16 Boys; U16 Girls; U19 Boys and U19 Girls.

Coaching: Jim West a Former England coach takes sessions on a Thursday evening and is helped by other staff members during activities

Fixtures: The Fixtures are played in the Autumn term. If successful at County level, we continue into the Spring term.

Notable achievements:

• The school won the U16 County title, then progressed through the Zone stage to reach the Regional finals.
• Tom Baxter won the 2007 individual U16 County title (beating David White in an all St Bede’s final!) and went on to represent East Sussex in the National finals in Stoke.
