Boarding School Preparation Course

Dicker, ages 12 to 17
For students with an interest in academic English or for those joining a UK Boarding School.

This course is based at St Bede's Senior School at the Dicker, situated in a rural village in the heart of the Sussex countryside and close to the coastal resort of Eastbourne. The School is based on a former country estate with grounds extending over 80 acres whose buildings form the core of teaching, activities and accommodation.

• Lessons - 15 hours of English and at least 15 hours of school subjects per week
• Subjects including but not limited to, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Studies, Business Studies, Economics, Art & Design, Geography and Extra English
• Workshops to give students practical information about life in the UK
• Accommodation - newly-built boarding house consisting of flats arranged around a common living space; bedrooms sleep 2 to 5 students and each flat has its own bathroom
• Facilities include tennis courts, basketball court, dance and drama studios, squash courts, sports hall, indoor swimming pool, astro-turf, riding stables, golf course and extensive playing fields
• Evening sports and entertainment
• 2 full-day cultural excursions per week
