Student Safety

• Staff live in the same sleeping areas as students
• Student register taken several times during the day
• Qualified First Aid staff at all centres, doctors close by
• Recommended student-staff ratios on and off campus
• Pocket money, tickets and passport kept safely in the office

Students’ safety is extremely important to us and for this reason we have lots of staff at St Bede’s to look after the students

At St Bede’s we use the following minimum ratios:

All Activities, trips & excursions	1:8	1:11	1:14	1:15	1:14
At night (in houses)	1:15	1:15	1:20	1:20	1:20

Excursions

When on excursions, the following policy is adopted:

Ages	Policy
7-11	Students are accompanied and supervised by staff at all times. There is a minimum of 2 staff present at all times
12-18	Students are allowed some free time away from the staff. Students are told they must be in groups of at least 3.
